Following a late afternoon shopping-trip to The Gyle on 30th December, 2012, I arrived back in the city centre just in time to greet the torch-lit procession which marks the opening of Edinburgh's New Year festivities, on North Bridge. I thought it would be pretty safe in Henry's, but my camera managed to get beer poured over it yet again last night. It's barely working now, and I don't know if much can be done to unstick components which are glued-up with congealed beer. I got some no' bad photies though!

Gin Goblins, Norman Silver and the Gold, Down to Kill and The Pink Dogs at Henry's Cellar Bar, Edinburgh, on 20th December, 2012. I remember noticing at this gig that Mikie Jacobs, despite his stocky and muscular build, looked excessively thin, but I never guessed that this would be the last time I would see him. Bah! It's after 3am and I am what can only be described as stupidly wide-awake. Whose stupid idea was it not to buy some cans when I was at the supermarket yesterday afternoon? I'm now attempting to induce sleep by the roll-and-jam method, which shouldn't work in theory, but has actually been known to do so.
